Bio

Growing up in scenic Wisconsin left a lasting impression and deep love of nature. Using her natural creativity and life experiences Michele has enhanced the ability to share her vision through her art.

After moving to Texas over 30 years ago and once in Houston, Michele picked up a brush and began her quest in watercolors, eventually joining WAS-H, the Watercolor Art Society of Houston where she took many workshops and classes with established artists. Many years later she worked in clay and then acrylics and most recently in oils. Michele is a self-taught artist and self described as a slightly loose realism artist, she finds working in detail just comes natural as she explores color and form. However, Michele has another side that is enjoying the allure to the abstract that can be seen in her decorated manniquin lamps and other 3D art forms. She has won ribbons in a variety of art exhibitions and continues to experiment with various mediums.
Michele lives in Hockley with her husband and two fluffy cats and recently retired from Tomball ISD permitting her to create on a full-time basis.
